statement
i produce work in order to offset what i consume.
the ideas for my art-making come from the personal.
i examine what is part of my daily landscape: common language, popular opinion, and the collective subconscious.
my method is to collect, synthesize and present visual information.
i target issues that surround the body such as gender, race, identity, aging and mortality. i choose signifiers that reference rather than represent so as attempt to avoid externalized stereotyping.
my goal is to better understand my internalized biases and our common beliefs through creative means.
